ARRIVE & BOARD
Arrive at Santa Barbara Harbor, Marina 2 Gate, 10 minutes before departure. Meet your captain and sound practitioner, then step aboard Kelpie and settle into her comfortable cockpit.

SETTLE IN
As Kelpie makes her way onto the water, get comfortable, take in your surroundings, and prepare for the sound experience to begin.

LISTEN & EXPERIENCE
Settle into the resonance of singing bowls, chimes, and other instruments as their tones mingle with the movement of the yacht and the sounds of the sea.

SAIL & RETURN
Enjoy the journey back to Santa Barbara Harbor with time to take in the coastline and simply enjoy being on the water.

A Sound Bath is an immersive listening experience created through the resonant tones and vibrations of singing bowls, chimes, bells, flute, and other instruments. There is nothing you need to learn or do—simply listen and experience the changing layers of sound.
Aboard Kelpie, the sounds of the instruments are joined by ocean air, the gentle movement of the yacht, and the natural rhythms of the sea, creating a setting for stillness, reflection, and relaxation.
Your experience is led by a local, certified Sound Practitioner with extensive experience creating personalized sound journeys. A thoughtfully selected collection of singing bowls, bells, chimes, flute, and other resonant instruments allows each session to unfold differently according to the group and setting.
Your 90-minute experience includes a guided Sound Bath, with time before and after for getting underway and returning to Santa Barbara Harbor. Once aboard, your captain and Sound Practitioner will welcome you and prepare the experience as Kelpie makes her way onto the water.
The Sound Bath itself lasts approximately 60 minutes, followed by the return to the harbor and a few final moments to enjoy being on the water.
Guests remain comfortably seated during the Sound Bath rather than lying down. Kelpie’s cushioned cockpit creates an intimate setting with the instruments arranged close by, allowing you to experience their tones and vibrations while surrounded by the sea.
Your Sound Practitioner brings a curated collection of resonant instruments that may include Himalayan singing bowls from Nepal, crystal singing bowls, hand bells, chimes, flute, and other instruments selected for the experience.
For the most spacious and comfortable experience, we recommend groups of four or fewer. Adding a fifth guest may be possible upon request.

Please reserve your Sound Bath Sail at least seven days in advance whenever possible so we can coordinate your Sound Practitioner and prepare your experience.
Last-minute reservations may sometimes be available by special request.
We recommend dressing in layers, as it is often about 10°F cooler on the water than on land. A hat, polarized sunglasses, a camera, and non-aerosol, reef-safe sunscreen will help make your experience more comfortable.
Kelpie is a barefoot yacht, so guests will be asked to remove their footwear before boarding unless shoes are medically necessary. Warm blankets are available aboard in case you forget a jacket.
Outside food and hard-sided coolers are not permitted. Curated food and beverage options are available to add to your charter. Please contact us in advance regarding dietary or medical circumstances that may require an exception.
Your captain monitors marine conditions closely and makes the final decision regarding weather and safety. Santa Barbara often has excellent sailing conditions even when the forecast appears overcast or breezy on land.
If SunSwept Sailing must cancel because conditions are unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule. When rescheduling is not possible, the options available under our weather policy will apply. Guests should not assume their charter is canceled unless they hear directly from us.
Cancellation and rescheduling terms depend on the experience and how far in advance the request is made. Most standard charters may be rescheduled for account credit when notice is provided at least 72 hours before departure. Refunds are limited, and special experiences, catering, floral arrangements, holidays, and bookings made close to departure may have different terms.
