Captain & First Mate
Spencer & Courtney MacRae, Owners of SunSwept Sailing, are Santa Barbara natives. They are very excited to share their passion for the ocean with you and cannot wait to have you aboard their classic sailing yacht, Kelpie.
Spencer is a USCG certified, 100 Ton Master, ASA Sailing Instructor, and experienced charter and fleet manager. He has thousands of miles in offshore passage-making voyages and has earned the “All Eight” designation, having circumnavigated and explored all eight of the Santa Barbara Channel Islands. He has spent his life sailing in Santa Barbara, and loves taking new and experienced sailors on sunset cruises and daily charters.
Courtney is a 7th generation Santa Barbaran and works full-time as a registered veterinary technician at Adobe Pet Hospital. She enjoys sailing aboard Kelpie as First Mate in her spare time.
